Been asked numerous times after telling people some of my ideas. I figure I would enjoy trying to communicate the community's ideas to CCP. My resume includes.... Proto Varients of every light weapon except swarm launchers. Various ideas about OP and UP weapons. Proto Varients of all the Sidearms. Advanced Heavy and proto hmg and forge. CCP has done a great job of putting these weapons and suit in a good place. Proto Min logi with all proto equip. Proto min Assualt. Both Proto Scouts. I have an alt specced into all the vehicles and modules so I have that experience as well. If its in dust I've tried it. |

You made me type a platform that was the best I could think of. I told you a platform is a political standpoint that is made of raindbows and butterfly's that instantly vanish once elected. If I am to be chosen it will because of what I truly stand for and not for the garbage I thought would sound good. I also said right before that if I knew the limitations to the position or true role other than to be a between man for ccp and the community I would have a platform. |

Jaysyn Larrisen wrote:Radar,
I've seen you around quite a bit in game but haven't interacted with you. You've got a good rep, however, I echo a bit of the concern about lack specific items or areas that you would want to help CCP address as a CPM member.
Also...would you mind sharing a bit about you in the way of age, profession, time available for CPM duties, ect. Just to let folks get to know you a bit.
Here are a few specific questions for you (same as I pose to all candidates):
1) Other than the forums how do you intend to collect and communicate requests, needs, POV of the community? In particular, those outside your corp / alliance.
As a CEO of a powerful corporation my name draws players to me. I opened a squad in finder it filled in 28seconds. Reaching the community is the easiest thing to do. It is the reason I have the corporation I have. Learning peoples grievances of this game is as simple as constantly squading with new people. A general consensus will form and trends will appear. Communicating those in a well mannered way will be difficult depending on the tools given to me. If it is as simple as "Yo Shanghei tone down the rail rifles alpha. Thanks" well then shouldn't be hard. If no other method is provided forums will be my go to with the information gathered.
2) What level of interaction would you like to establish between the CPM and CSM? For now I believe the CPM and CSM should work seperatly depending on where the devs at with the code. If anything comes close to bridging eve and dust both parties should talk but until then each games needs to work seperatly to make the bridge that much better.
3) What are the top 3 short term (next 2mo's) changes you would encourage CCP to make? I'm looking for concrete examples that are realistic to achieve. 1- May or may not happen in 1.8 but racial balance 2-Establish a test server for CPM and Devs to quickly alter weapon stats to ensure balanced weapons pre release. 3-Small bug fixes. Like length of tenure in your corporation
4) What are the top 3 mid term (next 6mo's) changes you would encourage CCP to make? 1-Complete module and weapon rebalancing to be done on the test server. Once finished release with the next major patch. (I.e Uprising to Goliath) 2-New Game Mode(s) 3- PC overall to fix the constant exploitation in a way that is enjoyable
5) In Spring of 2015, when CPM1's term is up, what would you want people to have said about your tenure as a CPM member? Communication between CPM Radar and devs helped to create a game that I enjoy playing every day. Truly I don't care what people say of me. What I want to see is a player base over 10k if I can make that happen during my tenure then I will can say without doubt I helped to make a game I love thrive.
6) Will you be creating a channel for folks to meet and sqd with you during the period before the election? Unfourtantly I cannot create a channel in dust. A small bug I found is once a dust player ges tied to eve created channels (I.e moderator) your merc loses the right to create a channel. But all are welcome to join "An 0uter.Heaven" The channel I am tied to and I will gladly squad with any who have questions when I have time. Thank you for your time. I am not forum editing master so I posted replys in the quote |

Soraya Xel wrote:Mossellia Delt wrote:Why do you state your platform for running for the CPM1 is " being famous" Headshot +60 Dude, not at all a reason to run. And I see nothing here about any of the things this game so badly needs. We need new players, not tweaks to weapon stats. Agreed. My belief on new players is not the game or how to play but the SP gap they have. On radar my main I go 10/0 whenever or whatever I run. On a fresh alt I can hardly go positive. In eve there is PVE which helps get acclimated to playing the harder PVP. Then there is high sec low sec and null sec. Most players who are anybody are in null sec. Mid tier talent typically roam low sec. And fresh players are surrounded by fresh players in high sec. A way to separate the tiers in dust should be set up to prevent new players from being discouraged the moment they leave the academy. I was at 11mil Sp when Pc started and that was enough to get a proto suits get all my cores to 4. Max a weapon and get the mods equip and nades I wanted. So I think care bearing the new players would end at 10mil. That's I believe 3 months of growth without being stomped by the vets. If after 3 months of playing, familiarizing, growing, and being coddled they are still playing well then I believe they will be hooked for life. |

Truthfully if I became a CPM based on the schedule placed before me I would probably resign as our acting FC in 0.H . I have 7 Directors who could easily fill my shoes. As fun as leading my corp into a well organized attack is; I just don't think after reading the CPM post I will be able to be present for all our PC's. |

Unfourtantly I believe faction warfare is in a good place. I know little of the changes they made eve side. As I'm sure much of eve doesn't realize the changes they made down here. My only complaint with FW is the rewards are not enticing enough. Specialist weapons are the single outlier in my complaint. CCP from a business standpoint should make aurum the early access tool and FW the Superior Gear section. Truly the only thing outside of specialist weapons I find enticing is the 100% needle. That is a equip that truly stand out over all others. The community wants caldari to have shield extenders that increase by 77 Shields and cost the same as complex shields. Gallente that have damage mods for 13%. Amarr that have armour reps for 8/sec. Minmatar that have kin Kat's for 15%. These are things I would pay a lot of lp to have. As far as eve/dust connection goes for FW Soon(tm) |

Yokal Bob wrote:You talk about weapon balancing (which is needed), but what else do you plan on bringing to the role? What is your past experience? What does the role of CPM mean to you?
Thought I would throw some questions as your application does not really state much Weapon Balance is a core component of a game like this. From a competitive standpoint you should not feel obsolete because your weapon is vastly inferior to the current OP weapon. Take FG from 1.0-1.6 making sure you had 2 FG always placed in high ground throughout the duration of battle increased winning by around 75%. After 1.7 its down to prolly 15%. Still a powerful tool and helps to win but isn't the "I Win" button. Balance helps diversify the battlefield to encourage different strategy and play styles. This will increase older player retention. However finding ways to get new players to the status of old players is equally important. (See posts above) I hope to bring a playful intelligence to CCP. Someone that can think inside the limits set and find a truly creative solution for a complex problem. As far as past experience I have little coding a game is a dream I have but the knowledge of its complexity is unknown to me. The role of CPM to me is to accurately relay constructive criticism to CCP voicing not your concerns but the well being of the entire community through logical and easily understood means. |

Killar-12 wrote:A few questions In what ways would you wish to see the Connection between capsuleers and infantry expanded?
Some kind of market integration where superior items can be created by utilizing both games. Interest from both parties will give capsullers and infantry common goals to work towards.
How high on your list of priorities is having dust able to perform a constant framrate of say 30 FPS?
I don't see much frame rate drop anymore from the game. They have nearly optimized the game as well as they can I believe. Maintaining a high fps reduces QQ we have currently. Most people I have ever squaded with feel that they lose a 1v1 due to a sudden framedrop or a lag spike. As far as priority goes its not something that can be suddenly fixed because so many thing account for the issues. So fairly low but maintaing optimal performance between updates is a priority.
Would you wish for the return of Corporation Battles or rather the introduction of Team Deploy for Factional warfare?
0.H was queue syncing FW fine last night got 6 matches in a row with little difficulty. Corporation Battles by far are the most important aspect of dust that needs brought back. PFC is a joke compared to what corporation battles were used for.
I'm sure to come up with more questions, but these seem to be ones that many people have so I put them here
it's copy pasted into most of the Candidate's threads...

Jaysyn Larrisen wrote: This is not a bad thing...however, it begs the question of how you and some of the other candidates will represent the majority of players not in your level of corp or skill.
You are in a position of leadership in one of the top Corps / Alliances in the game. Much of the conversation in the forums relates to the disparity in ISK, PC, general opportunities between the small upper tier and everyone else. Can you please elaborate on how you intend to represent the rest of the community, i.e. the other 90%? How we will know you aren't soley shaping things for the elites?
An interesting question to be sure. If I understand the entire CPM election it will be a panel or players representing the community. Currently in the CPM we have now we lack that player who has exception skills in FPS. Representing the other 90% o the community is usually based off what the Top 10% do.
Everyone complains about certain OP weapons because the Elite players use them and slaughter. Community complains about the isk disparity because the top 10% control PC. I'm not saying my views would be solely based upon the top 10%. However careful attention must be paid to how these players react as the community typically follow their actions.
My goals would be to reduce that disparity by giving the 10% something to do outside pub matches. Thus giving the 90% room to grow and eventually we will see the gap reduce. A pub match made for Elite level talent would go a long way to not only increase competition For upper talent but give the rest of the community a chance to enjoy the game.
Bringing me back to the 90% is as easy as reading general discussions, squading with new people, creating a channel like irc for players to voice their concerns to the CPM while in game. Creating a thread like my 0uter.Heaven thread. A thread to come vent after your hours of dusting.
Engaging the community in my opinion is simple. I would not solely represent the top tier talent in the game nor try to build the game for those players. I would be able to easily represent their concerns however and use the concerns in coordination with the views of the majority. |

Canari Elphus wrote:A lot has been talked about in regards to new players.
Taking off my candidate hat and asking as a veteran, how do you wish to see this game evolve for veterans to give them new experiences in Dust? How do you feel that you can increase competition between top corporations without sacrificing the experience of new players? I want to see racial balance and weapon balance. No FotM things. Diversify the battlefield and give all weapons the ability to thrive. Give suits bonuses that are specific and amplify a certain play style. Rebalance all the modules so caldari can fit shields easily but have to sacrifice a lot to fit armour. Vice versa for gallente.
I grow tired of PC's constant redundancy. Every build there is things far superior to others. All the corps spec into them and use the same tactics as every other corp to win. Then it comes down to individual talent that each corp can field. Usually the corp that starts to get hot gobbles up that talent quickly. Thus we have stagnant play due to all the competition playing for the same team.
I feel to increase competition between corps we need a game mode other then PC to Team Deploy into (Corporation Battles). The squad cup was also a great experience for all players that got a chance to play. Smaller numbers increase team play and allow for greater variability between squad setups.
Giving game modes that are resevered for solo players and squad deploy modes would drastically improve the enjoyment of dust for new and old players. I know it is frustrating playing a against one of the Top Tier corps squad while solo is awful. Equally Frustrating while playing some kind of team based mode and having teammates that have no idea what they are doing. |

Pc is supposed to be the End -game content. Currently it is the only way to have a truly competitive battle. I want to offer different means of gameplay for CCP to look at rather then focus on a gamemode that is extremely time intensive and politically charged. This will give the players that feel left out of PC a chance to engage in competitive battles without the aforementioned challenges of PC. In turn offering more competitive game modes will ideally offer the casual player a chance to enjoy the game without getting spawn trapped by the top tier talent. As those players will be playing the competitive modes. |

Jaysyn Larrisen wrote: Consider this...when informing CCP of potential options for weapon and equipment tweaks could you honestly say you can take into account the average player? Their skill level is likely to be drastically lower than yours; mechanics you and other members of 0uter Heaven can easily manipulate and overcome might be beyond most of them. Not poking...just asking.
Weapon Feedback isn't my only stance on wanting to be CPM. I would never try to give my corporation an edge by trying to convince CCP to change something that would in turn benefit my corporation over others. Take 1.7 for instance this was a great build for bringing a better connection of Eve and dust. That being said it was absolutely awful for the Proficiency 5 alliance. We had no Eve presence at all and our adaptation was not very swift. Yet I would still have pushed for this development of the game despite the negative impact it would have on my corporation. Now take 1.8 0.H has some very talented scouts. This build looks to be giving scouts some needed love. I advocate against this buff on scouts even though I think it may be beneficial to my corporation. My actions will never be to further the goals of my corporation but to further the game and growth of its community. |

I appreciate all of the negative feedback more then I do the positive feedback. Your concerns about my time to commit to being a CPM are well received. As I previously stated I would step down as CEO of 0uter.Heaven and our lead Field Commander (FC). This would grant me ample time to be a CPM while still being apart of my corporation.
As for those that question my positions on the CPM council. I for one do not think myself fully qualified for every aspect of the CPM but neither do I believe any of the candidates are. Each of us has our own specialist type roles we could fill in the council. Mine for example could be Weapons/Dropsuit expert. An extension of that could just be Battlefield Seer.
Out of all the candidates I have more experience on the playing field of Dust514 then all of them. I know maps forwards and backwards. Locations of glitch spots. I have experience using every different element of war we have been provided from Nova knives - Assault Drop ship. How all of these weapons CCP has provided us work and which ones work a little too well. I may be lacking in other areas of the CPM however you will find no one more knowledgeable about playing the game then me. |
